VINODE RAMSAMMY
Mr. Ramsammy has played music professionally for 25 years, most notably with the popular reggae groups The Dubalites and Massif in Northern California, sharing the stage with the likes of The Wailers,Third World, Gregory Isaaccs and Yellowman to name a few.
Mr Ramsammy also taught music at Plumfield Academy, a residential care facility/school for emotionally disturbed boys ages 6-18 in Sebastopol California for 5 years. He was then contracted by the Santa Rosa Unified School District as a behaviorist (through Anova, an Education Consultancy group, also in Santa Rosa) for their Special Education Pilot Program at Montgomery High School.
Upon fulfillment of his obligations, He was asked to stay on at Montgomery High School to set up a music/art therapy component to their curriculum, where he remained for 3 years until his moving to Florida.
He believes that music has the power to transform and as such he is committed to the Foundation's vision of changing the lives of those less fortunate
